Give inbound callers a useful first conversation

When your team cannot take the first call, Revenue Relay can greet the caller, understand the request and capture the details. A configured live transfer gives callers a path to a person when they ask.

An opening that belongs to your business

Assign a saved agent to a connected phone number and configure a concise greeting. Define what the agent can discuss, what it should collect and what must stay with your team. It should identify itself honestly and avoid promising service, stock or availability it cannot verify.

Capture the reason, not just the number

A callback request becomes more actionable when it includes the caller's need. Ask a few focused questions, clarify unclear answers and collect contact details appropriate to the situation. After the call, extracted fields and a summary organize the conversation for review.

  • Caller name, organization and callback details
  • Reason for calling and relevant requirements
  • Timing or urgency stated by the caller
  • Requested next step and any follow-up preference

The call that arrives between customer conversations

Example scenario: a new customer calls while your team is helping someone else. The agent gathers what they need and when, then asks a clarifying question instead of assuming the answer. If the caller asks for a person, it attempts the configured transfer. If not, your team can review the saved request and decide how to respond.

A handoff, not a maze

Use the agent's live transfer number for a clear path to your sales or service line. Revenue Relay attempts that destination when the caller requests a live person and reports if nobody answers. It does not operate a multi-department switchboard or automatically decide which staff member should receive the call.

Keep people responsible for the resolution

The agent can gather information and explain the scope you define. It cannot verify inventory, issue refunds, dispatch a crew or guarantee a callback. Make those boundaries explicit in the instructions so a helpful first response does not become an unsupported commitment.

Improve intake from the conversations you receive

Read transcripts to find repeated questions, review extracted details for gaps and refine the agent in a browser test. Use call insights and Ask AI to explore your saved results. The aim is a better first conversation and a more informed follow-up—not a claim that automation replaces your service team.

Illustrative scenario. Inbound answering requires a connected phone number, an assigned agent and a published app. Availability and response timing depend on the connected services; callbacks and service actions are not automatically scheduled.
